Hatha Yoga is a physical discipline incorporating unification of mind; body and spirit.
Movements (poses or asanas) are flowing and gentle.

Each class will consist of one-hour in 5 parts:

 centering
warm-up
work
cool-down
relaxation.

INSTRUCTOR BACKGROUND

  1. Completed Yogafit® Teacher Training with a Yogafit® Master Trainer in December, 2003

  2. Attended Yoga/Meditation Retreat with Certified Yoga Instructor Janie Portele

  3. Practiced with Yoga instructor Connie Malloy

  4. Studied and practiced yoga independently for several years

  5. Participated in active workouts at Curves for Women®, Stephenville, since 2000.

PERSONAL BACKGROUND

  1. Resident of Erath County since 1976

  2. Married

  3. 63 years of age

  4. Retired Certified Financial Planner® and Business Manager

  5. Currently an Instructor for the AARP Tax Aide Program

  6. Teacher of Oil Painting at Stephenville Senior Citizen's Center .

Additional Information:

for initial classes, please bring a beach towel or similar sized throw to lie on and 1 or 2 bath towels for padding. Other than that, No special clothing or equipment is required.

Clothing should allow freedom of movement, but not be so loose as to interfere with some movement/actions

Normally poses are done barefoot to provide better traction

Participants will be required to sign waiver of Liability
